Lady in Bed

The Weird Sisters

A lively and heartwarming solo show by Alison Goldie based on her real life quest for love and sexual adventure.

'A brilliant piece of theatre... funny, touching... fabulous, pithy observations on life... Unmissable' BBC Online.

Lady in Bed is completely autobiographical - the names of lovers have been changed to protect the innocent (and the guilty).

The Weird Sisters were a big hit on the rural touring circuit in Devon with their show, Loveplay, as well as touring the world with their original shows from 1996-2002.

In her long performing career, Alison has been a stand-up comic, an improviser, a TV/film actor (Newman and Baddiel in Pieces, Alexei Sayle Show, Bean -The Movie), a TV presenter (BBC's The Travel Show etc), and a radio broadcaster (inc. a regular on Loose Ends). She was once complained about on 'Points of View' for being too funny on The Chelsea Flower Show.

She taught Eddie Izzard and Matt Lucas in comedy classes, and once talked Jonathan Ross out of his stage fright before a gig at the Hackney Empire.

She was voted Best Female Performer at the Orlando Fringe Festival, and The Weird Sisters won the Grand Prize at the Adelaide Fringe Festival for Loveplay, amongst other awards.

Alison teaches flirting classes called Flirtshops.
